![]() Cost Containment
A major consideration of virtually all of our projects is the efficient use of space and materials to provide an economic solution consistent with mandates for cost containment. We are always careful with our client's money. It is most often the case that strict economic constraints dictate an architectural solution that maximizes the resources available, resulting in a superior design. Alternative construction systems and products are routinely investigated to determine the optimum value that will satisfy project requirements. We never experiment with new and untried systems and components on our client's projects. In order to assure that the construction contract will come within budget, cost projections are developed early in the design process. These projections are updated as the project progresses through the successive developmental phases. Our cost projections are generally much more detailed than the requirements of the typical AIA contract. We feel that, especially in the early stages of project development, these more in-depth cost investigations are in our best interest as tools to assure we stay within the budget. |
